| Excerpt | Coins of the 18th – 20th centuries found in archaeological excavations on the Bucharest city territory On the Bucharest territory, some preventive archaeological research have been carried out, between 1995 and 2001, at Calea Victoriei no. 15, Grozăveşti and Covaci Streen nos. 15-17. There were found some older contexts and other ones from the modern period (19th and 20th centuries). Inside of the last there were discovered 22 coins made from the end of the 18th century until the first decades of the 20th century. These coins dated the latest archaeological contexts of these excavations as well as they offer an image about the monetary circulation and the commerce from Muntenia of this period. |
